March 2014, Elise and Michael meet up at North Wollongong beach for their first date. Elise was driving her almost brand new Mazda 3, which Michael took great delight in explaining in greater detail, what Sky-active technology was, and how it would help her save fuel. An exciting topic for him, but not so to Elise..... but she sat there, with a huge smile on her face listening intently. That, coupled with an incidence involving chewing gum, proved to Michael that she was pretty special. Michael proposed in September 2017, at Michelangelo's Piazza in Florence, Italy. Unfortunately, Covid dashed their plans for a 2020 wedding, but that didn't get in the way of having their perfect wedding in April 2022.
